Our Story

 

 After selling our home in Staffordshire, UK in February 2003 we decided to take a trip of a lifetime to Australia, the USA and Canada.. We had always wanted to live overseas and saw this as an opportunity to compare the different countries. It was also during our first visit 'Down Under' we discovered what a beautiful country Australia is. We  visited all the main cities, and spent a lot of time in: Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane and drove all the way from Cairns in Far North Queensland to Sydney. At the end of  the10 week trip we were incredibly impressed with what we had seen and experienced. One of the most striking things we discovered  was a much less stressful life than the one we were used to in the UK. The delightful warm weather, outdoor lifestyle and the 'no worries' attitude of the people really appealed to us. We also noticed the different work:life balance and how much Australians enjoy their lives instead of enduring them and it was during this time we discovered we were eligible to apply for a permanent skilled visa.

On returning to the UK we tried to find out as much as possible to make our visa application.This proved more difficult than we thought and eventually we found a very good registered migration agent to help us. He assessed our case and promptly put together our visa application in a very professional manner and the visa was processed after about 12 months. The day we received our visas was one of the best days of our life, but it then dawned on us that this was the beginning of a totally new journey and there was much more to emigrating than simply having a visa!

Home is now in Queensland, Australia and I am passionate about helping people obtain the same. I am a registered migration agent and most of my clients come from referrals of previous clients.
